Windows XP install - Step by step guide
Windows xp install
This guide will show you how to format your hard drive using the XP CD, and also, how to install the XP operating system. Installing all the windows operating systems is similar to this guide, so, I have decided to use the most popular operating system for home users to date. You will need to set your computer to boot up from your CD. This can be done by entering your computers setup program (bios). You normally go in to advanced options and set "to boot from CD" to enabled or yes. Make sure it is set as first boot up device. This should guarantee a CD boot up. Rather than have a huge page for this guide. I have decided to split the guide in to smaller parts.
Step 1: Begin by inserting your “XP Home” CD into your CD-Rom drive and starting your computer. If your computer boots the CD properly, the Windows XP Setup program will automatically start, and you will see the screen below.
Once Setup has decided that your system is able to install Windows XP, it will begin the next phase of the installer.
