Webcams advice

Webcams are becoming very popular with Internet users across the world.

They simply let you see each other when on the Internet through certain software applications, such as Msn and net meeting.

I often have conversations with family who live at the other end of the country using a microphone and a webcam.

It’s an excellent way to keep in touch and see how everyone is doing.

I was once was told a very funny story about webcams so I will share it with you. A friend of mine claimed that he was hacked and he was lying on his sofa with his girlfriend watching a movie. He had left his computer on while watching the movie. The next thing he knows some one is typing on his desktop that’s a nice top your girl friend has. He jumps up and looks to see that is his web cam is also powered on. The hacker says he needs a haircut so my friend panics and turns his pc off and disconnects from the Internet. Now I very much doubt this story is true but I think its quite hilarious and he still claims to this day that it is true. All I would say is turn all firewalls on when using the Internet. This will protect ports, which aren’t being used and should protect you against intruders. Some people waste time dropping Trojans on to peoples opens ports. This can give the intruder access to the infected computer.

The important thing is to stay protected and you will have an enjoyable Internet experience like most of the world currently enjoy.
