What tomorrows computers could mean for us
Tommorows computers
By the term tomorrows computers, we mean the future of the computer.
As we know the computing industry is achieving major success with magnificent speed.
We don’t know which kind of technology we will be using in tomorrows computers in the next few years.
Will the technology be the same as we are using today?
Will it be too hard to understand?
Will it be significantly different?
For answering these questions we are going to discuss some import features of future computing
In a few years from today, computer programs may well work with voice interface, and will be able to do intelligent conversation with computer users.
If a user says that he or she will need an appointment with his or her doctor then the intelligence system may also know his or her credit card details and where the user is (location).
The computer will ask when the user wants to visit the doctor. If the user says they are depressed or not in good mood, then the artificial intelligence will cover up the situation and provide what the user wants (like music or some other sort of entertainment).
It may well keep different sort of information like weather, sport, news etc for the user to keep him or her up to date.
It also knows if the user is near the computer screen then it may even be able to write some notes for him.
We are using a web technology that is understandable for the human being not for the computer, therefore it is difficult for the computer to understand and load different kinds of things on the web.
However the future of tommorows computers and the web will be Semantic Web, which is not the replacement of today’s web format, but it is the update or modified form of the web, which will easily be understandable for the computer also.
As we are observing in our surrounding, the technology is becoming more compact day by day.
Every electronic gadget is becoming smaller than its previous version.
The future of the computer tomorrows computers is also heading in the same direction. In 6 to 8 years after today, the computer may well be available in the size of a mobile phone, but it will also be as powerful as super computers today!
If our computer use increases day by day, it will become hard for our present machine to pick up the load of our computer demands so we replace our old one with a new one, faster then our present one. This has been going on for a long time in computing. When people’s demands increase and as software develops, users often upgrade their computers. Some times they will even buy a whole new computer package.
In the future for tomorrows computers, if we face the same situation, then we will only pay for the power that we require, we do not need to change our terminal, or our machine, every thing remains the same, and we will only pay a bill for it. Whatever usage we use, we will pay for, without any change to our machine.
The CRT monitors that we are using today are loosing their battle against the LCD monitors, which have 2D technology. However tomorrow’s monitor will be better than LCD.
This monitor will possibly consist of the 3D technology and it will be available in the shape of goggles.
This new design may even directly write the image on to our retina (A delicate, multi layered, light-sensitive membrane lining the inner eyeball and connected by the optic nerve to the brain).
To be continued..
This an interesting article sent to us by Sarfaraz whom is now a constant article publisher on this site.
Discussing the possible future of tomorrows computers, and reading this article, things certainly sound interesting. Read the second part of the article for the conclusion.
