Can you explain what throughput means on the LaserJet’s?

Throughput explained

Answer:

Performance/Throughput are terms used to specify the speed of the printer. The Manufacturer specifies the PPM (pages per minute) for the printer. There are a number of factors that affect the throughput:-

1) Connectivity of the printer:- Printer connected to LPT will be slower than a USB.

2) Memory, CPU inside the printer.

3) Complexity of the printed document.

When benchmarking a printer, the manufacturer uses a set of standard documents which have a mix of complexity for specifying the PPM.
