Reformat hard drive

The decision to reformat hard drive needs to be given some thought before going ahead.

Why you may ask? – Well once you reformat your hard drive all of your data will be lost. Yes that means all data, what does this mean? – This simply means all of your work, information, everything you have stored on your computers hard drive, including your operating system such as windows will be deleted.

From the above paragraph, you can why the process needs to be reviewed before going ahead. I have reformatted my drive hundreds of times, however, I was prepared to lose all data, you may not want this. What is the solution? - You can back the entire drive up on a second hard drive. You can store your data on cds, although this can be very inconvenient if you have masses of data. You can use portable drives, or DVD discs, which offer a lot more storage space then the average CD.

Personally, I save what I need such as important work, and then I reformat the drive.

I have lots of operating systems on different disks, so I don’t need to worry about backing up windows. I will worry about my work, so I will always make sure that is saved to at least 2 sources to make sure it is safe.

If your work is very important to you, then it needs to be saved twice to make sure it is not going to be lost. Believe me, if you lose your work, it can make you very frustrated, so I strongly recommend you follow this advice.
