Guide to ram
Ram
The memory which keeps the data and information for a temporary period of time or, until the program is running or the computer is on, this memory is known as (random access memory).
This memory is said to be volatile, which means that this memory is capable to keep the memory stored, only when the power of the computer is on.
It is an erasable and a rewrite able type of temporary memory. As compared to the past few years, the performance of memory has increased to meet the requirements of today’s software.
A few years ago, 16MB of RAM was thought to be huge in PC. But nowadays the normal requirement of memory in PC’s is 128MB, which is the multiplication of 16 with 8.
More memory has become a necessity because the personal computer software requires a significant amount of memory. It is easy to increase the amount of memory in your computer by buying a new one from the Internet and then, install it in your PC.
Suppose if you have a 64-MB of ram installed in it and you have a desire of working with 128, then you can easily buy another 64MB of memory and install it and enjoy added performance of 128.
