Minimize term explained

Minimize is a term for the action for when a user clicks the minimize button (looks much like a bold underscore on the top right of a window).

When something is minimized, it is sent to the taskbar. The taskbar is at the bottom (standard) of the screen and has all the buttons of your open windows.

A minimized window will not appear on the desktop.
