If you were to give me one word to describe the HP Compaq NC4000, I would say it’s simply marvelous. This notebook is not only lightweight and compact, it’s even more powerful than some bulky notebooks and desktop replacements. Not convinced? Let’s examine the new comer from HP Compaq!
Like most ultra portable notebooks, the NC4000 is a 12-inch notebook range, but offers greater expandability and is more powerful. The NC4000 is built-in with the latest processor designed by Intel for notebooks, the Centrino processor. Running speed at 1.4GHz and 802.11b wireless LAN support, Centrino promises better and longer battery life than before.
Since it is operated under the king of operating systems, Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition, HP Compaq makes sure that NC4000 performs well and smoothly by offering a 512MB of DDR266 (PC2100) memory. This notebook also provides a huge 30GB hard drive for data storing such as business documents, MP3s, pictures and many more.
NC4000, measuring 11” x 1.1” x 9.20” (Width x Height x Depth) has ATI RADEON Mobility as its graphic controller with a user-configurable 32MB or 64MB of memory. The 12” XGA screen is clear and smooth to the eyes. When you are not travelling and wanting a bigger screen, simply plug it to any external monitor via its VGA port or colour television through the S-video port.
Other than the features mentioned above, you get a combo drive that burns CDs and reads DVD as well. Not to forget its SD card media slot and infrared port for further file transfer.
Built by professionals for professionals, NC4000 is truly innovative. Its high performance and lightweight design is perfect for professionals and students on the move.
