Hitachi drives are very reliable hard drives. I have had a Hitachi drive in my computer since 1997, yes that’s hitting the 10-year mark. It is still going strong and is surprisingly very quiet.

My laptop has a Hitachi hard drive with 40 gigs of space and that has also been superb. Hitachi fell behind other vendors for hard drives, but Hitachi still produce solid reliable hard drives at great prices.

There are so many drives to choose from today, it is often hard to decide which is best. To be honest, I don’t go for a particular make, as most hard drives these days are often reliable.
