Free computer wallpapers

Many use free computer wallpapers to decorate their computer screens. This is a picture that is displayed on your desktop.

Windows XP users will know what I am discussing here. Those who are used to the regular blue back ground and find it boring, it can be easily changed.

Depending on your preference select a wallpaper you like. It can be any picture you prefer, but may I suggest a relaxing one, as many find computing stressful at times.

If you are working at home, you can easily get aggravated if you are new to computers. A chaotic picture may not be the best thing to look at.

Step one, find the picture you want. Right click on the picture / set as background and your done. To change this all you need to do is right click your desktop, do not select an icon and click properties.

From here select the desktop tab and here are some easy options to change the looks and feel of your desktop, including the background picture.

To go back to the original colour, select background as none.

Here is my desktop below, as you can see this is quite relaxing on the eyes and not so boring.

There are lots of free computer wallpapers to choose from around the Internet. Lots of people use backgrounds such as there favourite films, computer games or even entertainers such as actors.

If you like the picture I got it from free computer wallpapers and there are many other backgrounds on that page, which can be used for free.

If the number confuses you, websites give for a picture, such as 1024x768 this is the resolution of your monitor. This is how many pixels there are at any one time.

To check you get one which fits, although most will stretch or shrink to accommodate.

Right click on your desktop / properties / settings tab it will say your screen resolution in the bottom left.

As you can see my screen resolution is 1024x768. Have fun with this. There is much more you can do simply by looking around the options, and selecting what suits you.
