The Epson c84 is your normal basic DeskJet printer. Normally these types of printers use masses of ink, and are known for quality issues. This is not the case with this Epson stylus printer.

This printer is an excellent budget option for those of you who don’t wish to spend much on a printer.

The printer does lack quality compared to its cousins, but for the price of this unit the quality is not bad. Supporting both parallel and usb, which is handy for those of you with older computer systems.

The photo printing is average when compared to the other Epson printers, however text looks superb on photo paper. The aspect I like the most is the fact the ink is water resistant. This is crucial for me as I am always passing photos around to various people.

When using the software you can change the settings to allow better quality prints. The downfall with this is the speed of prints will be considerably slower.

This is a cost effective printer in both the unit and consumables. If you are after the best quality for colour prints, then this may not be the printer for you. Overall this is a good printer for the price.
