Desktop computers are still by far the most popular computer today. While they don’t offer the convenience of notebook computers, they do offer extensive power. This shows in graphic intense software and high-end applications.

Desktops can be built yourself using separate computer parts. The other options are to buy the desktop as a set package including a monitor and all the various software most computer users have. As well as that option, you can buy just the base unit. This simply means you get no monitor and no software, just the computer itself. I have done this many times myself. It saves time and effort especially if you already own a windows operating system.
