Guide for computer monitors and reviews of cheap monitors

Computer monitors, the screen you look upon, it is the window to your computer.

This is of course important to people, but a monitor is not just a TV, you have an increased refresh rate, which is critical for reducing eye strain and headaches.

The refresh rate of computer monitors, is how many times the screen up dates per second.

The higher the refresh rate the faster the screen refreshes. You can often decide at what resolution you see the screen, this increases precision in what you see, and allows you to view more at the same time.

Today there are a few ways you can choose between, to view the information from your monitors. Many graphics cards come with a TV out, so you could use your TV.

However it would be limited and could cause eyestrain. When using your computer you will tend to stare more at it, so a fast refresh rate is a good idea.

There is also the most usual way which is CRT, or cathode ray tube just like your TV, they come in similar sizes, however you will be given a tube size and a viewable area.

Viewable area is the amount of screen you can see. The main benefit of CRT monitors is they are cheap. High refresh rates available when compared to other methods, and can obtain a relatively high resolution.

There are also flat screen computer monitors, which can save a lot of space, but of course cost quite a bit more then their CRT cousins. Flat screens are the way forward however, and many people are making the switch, which is bringing down prices.

The other method is to use a projector instead of a monitor. This is the most expensive but offers normally a 6 by 4 foot area, from which you can view your information.

They are portable which differs to monitors. The only sore point about them is the cost, they tend to run into thousands, and with high usage the bulbs need to be replaced.

This can run into the region of up to and including $800.
