ADSL - Asymmetric Digital Subscribers Line
This is a term widely used on this and many other computer related sites. Often referred to as Broadband, ADSL is obtained from telephone companies.
When you have this setup in your home you have a faster Internet connection and this results in a better Internet experience.
When a user has ADSL installed in the home, the user can receive calls at the same time as being on the Internet.
This connection can reach exciting speeds of 8mb per second and has a current upstream of 512kbits per second.
