Windows XP guide

Windows XP guide

A multitasking operating system that is available in 32 bit and 64-bit mode. The 64-bit format version is still in testing as of this writing, however it should be released soon. There are two versions of XP at the moment that are, Windows XP home and Windows XP professional.

Both of the above versions provide a new windows interface with some major changes to the graphical user interface. If you don’t like this new interface it is easy enough to change back to the classical windows mode. Both versions have advanced support for laptops, wireless connections, faster boot up times and a much larger application control during start-up.

Windows XP comes integrated with Internet explorer 6.0, which supposedly has cracked lots of privacy issues. This operating system comes with a built in firewall, which is a good asset to the operating system.

Supporting remote desktops offline files and folders and offering enhanced administrative functions, windows XP is one of the latest and best operating system in the Microsoft series.

The 64 bit mode is currently in beta testing mode is targeted at the more technical user working with high-end multimedia. It contains all the elements that the 32 bit modes offer plus it will run fully optimized on the latest 64 bit processors and is rumoured to support up to around 16 Gigabyte of ram.

Windows XP is what I currently use, and this is the operating system you will probably get shipped with your computer at the moment. If you were planning on building a computer, windows XP would be the best operating system to purchase.
