Windows NT guide

Windows NT is a multitasking operating system designed specifically as a 32-bit operating system. This operating system has no 16-bit code and will not run any applications needing this code; therefore it has no backward compatibility.

Many professionals consider it as the mature windows operating system, as it is still widely used in businesses and has been around a long time. NT offers a built in crash scheme that was designed to prevent one software application crashing everything else running. In theory this is excellent, however I have still seen major crashes on Windows NT. It does have its share of bugs, however I found that this is more relate t hardwire. NT doesn’t have a huge list of compatible hardware, but if you stick to the components, which are certified for these operating systems, you shouldn’t have any issues.

I wouldn’t recommend this for home users, however if you want increased stability, this operating system is well recommended. It is not user friendly as compared to earlier operating systems and it has no support for plug and play. For large organisations this system is widely used.
