Windows 98 guide

Windows 98 was popular around 4 years ago. It is a 32-bit operating system like Windows 95. This operating system in my opinion is not a whole new operating system. It is very like Windows 95 with a bug fix in the coding.

The main differences in Windows 98 are that there is an integration of Internet explorer with Windows 98 and other features such as, better help wizard, enhanced support for the universal serial bus (USB). There is more support for DVD features, and the made support for multiple monitors. I don’t know anyone who used this and never seen the point of it for the home user. At the time I could barely afford one monitor, never mind multiple monitors.

I used Windows 98 second edition for years, at the time it was a decent operating system and I would recommend the upgrade from Windows 95. Today using a windows 98 machine can be tedious, there are lot more error codes than the windows based on the new NTFS file system such as, Windows XP.

Windows 98 was replaced by Windows Millennium edition, which I am going to discuss in the next stage of the guide.
