Windows 95 guide

Windows 95 guide

Windows 95 has become more les used now, however some home computers are still using this operating system.

Windows 95 is a 32-bit multi tasking software with a revolutionary graphical user interface. It is very similar to windows 3.1 using a lot of the same code.

I have found Windows 95 runs faster on my old p166 as compared to my high-end machine I am currently using.

It was designed to move users from 16 bit programs to the more advanced 32 bit programs, such as Microsoft office suite.

Windows 95 supports plug and play, which means installing windows is easy and a lot less problems occur. A known issue with Windows 95 is the general protection errors. They happen because of the mixed code. It has 16 bit and 32 bit code so old programs and drivers can be used. The best way to avoid these errors is to stick with the latest software for Windows 95 and the latest drivers that are compatible with Windows 95.

I have not used Windows 95 for a long time, however I am providing information on the past to present of what has been, and is popular.
