The Universal Serial Bus for your computer needs

The Universal Serial Bus

Because your bundled system will now come with USB ports, I am going to explain what this is and why it can be beneficial for you.

The USB port is a recent new standard that has become so popular, is has more or less stopped the manufacture of parallel and serial devices.

With USB, you don’t need to think worry about which port the device goes in to. And you certainly wont have to configure any switches or settings for the port.

USB acts as plug and play with the added benefit of not needing to turn off the computer to connect an external device. You will not need to remove any covers and plug in many devices depending on the amount of ports. Most new computers will come with around 8 USB ports.

This makes the installation of new devices a lot easier for you. You wont need power cables as the USB slow uses the power from the computer. The costs of new devices are more affordable now, thanks to USB technology.

Please be aware you need a compatible operating system to run USB devices. Windows NT will not support USB, however the other operating systems will work fine.
