Sony VAIO V505DC1P7 review

Model

Sony VAIO V505DC1P7

Sony’s notebook is one of the prettiest in the portable computer world. They design the body chemistry of their notebook that looks sleek, slim and stylish. And this applies to the Sony VAIO V505DC1P7.

The V505DC1P7 is one of the ultra portable notebooks, which we can get from Sony.

It’s a 12” notebook measured 10.9” x 1.4” x 9.5” with width, height and depth respectively. Though small, you must not look down on this notebook because it’s incomparable with other notebooks of the same range because of its great features and fine specifications.

V505DC1P7 is running on Intel Centrino technology, which consists of a Pentium M 1.6GHz processor, integrated 802.11b wireless LAN capability and extended battery life. It’s a new technology from Intel with the intention to build a thinner and lighter notebook.

It’s awesome enough for a standard notebook, but Sony is taking steps beyond it.

Sony’s new in line is equipped with a 512MB of DDR266 (PC2100) memory, giving as much speed as possible for running Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition. Yet, there is still one slot available for another memory module.

Next is its big storage capacity: a massive 60GB hard drive and a combo drive that burns CD and reads DVDs. These bundles are simply more than enough for your daily usage such as data backup, watching DVDs, storing all your MP3s and so on.

Like any other Sony’s products, you get a Memory Stick Card reader and a i.Link (equivalent to IEEE 1394 and FireWire) port for further data transfer and connectivity.

Sony VAIO V505DC1P7 is a solution for those who want a lightweight and slim yet powerful notebook offering lightning speed performance. Let’s not forget its tagline: It’s Sony!
