NEC Versa LitePad is so far the thinnest, and the lightest in the Tablet PC world. Weight at 2.2 lbs and measured at 8.8” x 0.6” x 11.7” for width, height and depth respectively will amaze you of its ultra portability.
Since it is a traditional Tablet PC, that means while you are on the move, you can only use the stylus that serves as both mouse and keyboard. When you want to have a faster input pace, you can always attach it to the supplied keyboard and optical scroll mouse. The unit is bundled with integrated WiFi, LAN and modem support for connecting to the network. It also gives you a VGA port for connecting to external display, but don’t ever think that you can write on the external display. Well, this cannot be done unless it is touch screen sensitive. Not to forget a CF media reader and three high speed USB ports. The wireless antenna looks cool too on the side. When you want to use it on the desk, simply attach it on the docking frame. Many would not know what’s the use of it until the Tablet PC is put on it. NEC LitePad is a powerhouse of a Tablet PC. It’s a traditional Tablet PC that will be a gift to all mobile users. Why not take this cheap Tablet PC and scratch right away during your meetings, or school lectures? Conclusion – By no means a powerful laptop today, but it will get the job done for work and assignments.
