Megahertz – Megahertz

This is a frequency used to measure the speed of a computer. It refers to millions of cycles per second.

Processors come in different speeds of megahertz, generally speaking, the faster the megahertz, the faster the processor will be.

If a processor is running at seven hundred megahertz, then it will be producing seven hundred million cycles per second.

Today, processors are using Gigahertz to measure the cycles. One thousand megahertz is equal to around one gigahertz.
