MS DOS term explained

MS DOS – Microsoft disk operating system

This was used often in the past. It was used for windows systems to access storage devices. It was also used as an operating system prior to windows. Many experienced computer users will have a good knowledge of Ms dos commands, as back then there was not much in scope, in terms of a graphical user interface.

Ms dos was used with all of the windows operating systems until Windows XP. It is now becoming obsolete due to advances in operating systems.
