Interface – Interface

This in its simplest form is the connection between two computers or a computer and a certain peripheral. An example can be the connection between a computer and a printer.

There are different types of interfaces all with different attributes, for example there is, USB, serial and parallel.

All have different qualities. Serial is used for communication purposes where as parallel is used for devices like printers.

USB is a new addition to the interface and allows connecting devices to your computer much easier. Devices are now designed especially for the USB interface.
