IP Address – Internet Protocol

This is a number that is separated in to four unique parts. The IP address contains 4 sets of numbers separated by full stops.

Every computer that is connected to the Internet has an IP address. These numbers will look some thing like this, 215.23.467.10.

If you want to find out what your IP address is, for whatever reason, you can use a command, which will give you the IP address of your computer.

To obtain this, simply go to your command or ms dos prompt, and type in ipconfig. This will return a few sets of numbers, if you look carefully, you will be able to locate your IP address.
