IBM ThinkPad T22 review
Model
IBM ThinkPad T22
Buying a notebook has the same philosophy as buying a computer, that is, what do you want to do with it. It doesn’t matter if you have lots of money to get a high-end notebook, but if you are in a budget constraint, then you would have to think twice before buying a notebook.
If you would just want to perform simple tasks such as net surfing, word processing or playing some non-graphic-extensive games, then I have a recommendation for you. Why not consider the ThinkPad T22 from IBM?
ThinkPad T22 comes installed with Intel Mobile Pentium III 900MHz processor with SpeedStep technology. This technology is specially designed to save battery life, thus it is able to serve its master in a longer period.
With a 128MB of Ram and a 20GB hard drive, it’s powerful enough to run the Microsoft Windows 98. You can also watch DVD movies with its DVD Rom, though I would prefer at least a combo drive. However, its optical drive is removable with the purpose to travel light and save even more battery life.
It runs S3 Savage IX8 Graphics Controller to support its graphics, and comes with a 14” TFT display. You also get two PC Card slots and a USB port for further connectivity. Not to forget the integrate LAN and modem supports for connecting to the local network and Internet.
After reading the features above, now you know what this notebook can do. It may not be able to carry out all tasks, but at least it offers basic functions. If you are a student looking for a cheap notebook deal, then this is the one.
