Hyper threading term explained

Hyper threading term explained

Hyper threading – what is it?

Hyper threading was developed by Intel to allow their processors to perform more than one additional task at a time.

Instead of one instruction being processed at a time, hyper threading allows multiple instructions to be processed at any one given time.

This results in improved performance in the processor, as well as a much faster processor speed.

A lot of the new processors come with this capability, and you may see this being mentioned in some of our reviews of desktops and laptops. In its simplest form the above is this term explained.

If you would like more information on hyper threading, I suggest you visits Intel’s website for more detailed information.
