This is where all your files are stored. It is the main storage area of your computer. The hard drive stores your operating system and with out one, your computer is useless.

The hard drive has advanced and has exceeded initial projections. Storage is now hitting the 300 Gigabyte mark and average speeds are running at 7200 rpm.
