GUI - Graphical User Interface

The GUI when talked about on this site refers to a user-friendly system that allows graphics, such as icons, for the user to perform tasks on thier computer. This was so popular that it took over the old ways of needing command prompts to navigate around the computer, and perform additional tasks. Windows was born and the rest is history.

Any user regardless of their computer knowledge can navigate using the GUI; it makes learning computers easier also. Things can now be explained in a non-technical way resulting in thousands of computer users worldwide.
