File – Files

Files are data stored electronically on your computer. They can be anything from word documents to music files. Files can have different extensions such as .txt and .mp3. This refers to the type of file and gives you an idea of what program you will need to run the file.

Files can be renamed, deleted, and copied easily on your computer and it is common for files to be stored in folders on your desktop.

Files come in different sizes depending on what the file is. For example a simple word file may only be very small in file size, where as music file can be around 6mb in size.
