Ethernet term explained

Ethernet – Networking

Ethernet is the standard for long area networks and supports up to 10Mb per second at transfer speed. The latest standard is Gigabit Ethernet where it can support up 1000mb per second at transfer speed. These are now found in large co operations which have large offices, with a network of computers installed.

In my home I have a LAN network setup using network cards and a cross over cable to connect 2 desktop computers. When friends come, we play racing and fighting games each having our own screen. You can do many things with a network, this is only one fun aspect of a home network.
