The disk drive is a device that is used in many home computers to read and write data on to a small floppy disk. They are located at the front of the desktop computer and normally on the side for laptop computers.

They are inexpensive and can be very handy for storing small files.

An example could be storing your CV on a floppy disk and updating on it any computer when needed.

Personally, I don’t have a floppy disk in my computer anymore, I use the small USB pen drives to store data that I wish to transfer.

Floppy disk drives are still used and recommended for basic storing of small files.
