DIMM - Dual Inline Memory Module

DIMM is a memory that is used in modern laptops and desktop computers worldwide. DIMM memory modules are largely used with 64 bit processors as they offer a 64-bit data path.

Dual inline refers to the chips being mounted in a dual layout on the main module.

They come in different pin packages, a smaller pin package for laptop computers and a slightly larger pin package for the desktop computer.
