Computer questions for computer buyers
Computer questions
When you talk to a sales person about buying a computer, you need to have some basic questions ready, so you can get the right computer for you. Whether you want a high-end computer or a low specification computer, it is still a good idea to have some questions to ask.
I have put together a few questions, which I feel will be useful to you when buying a computer.
What is the type of processor, what brand, and what speed?
Intel and AMD are the most reputable and popular processors to date. These brands have left other processor types way behind. They are the leading manufactures. The type of processor you obtain is important. You want a p4 or AMD 2200+ if you want to be current with the technology. Anything under this can be classed as old technology. For example a Pentium 3 is now classed as an old type processor. This doesn’t mean the processors are bad; they are just not the current technology.
Depending on what you want your computer for, you may want to have a computer that is of current speeds. The standard at the moment for processor speed is around 2 to 3 GHz. You can still easily obtain an older processor and save some cash, but again this is entirely up to you. You can check out our low cost buying guides if you are after a cheaper option.
