Bus term explained

Bus - Internal Bus

When we refer to computers, a bus means a set of conductors wired to the motherboard.

The bus of a computer is typically split in to two channels. One channel transfers the data while the other will specify where the data flows.

The internal bus of a computer connects the Pc’s components to the main processor and the memory banks within the computer.

The bus width is acknowledged by the amount of bits it can transfer at any one time. If we look at the above, we can see that a 64-bit bus can transfer 64 bits of data at a time.

The bus speed, which is measured in Mhz, measures how fast the data can travel through the bus of a computer.

A bus can also be mentioned in networking; basically this is the cable that connects all the devices together in order for the data to flow freely.
